Part-Time Shelter Chaplain

The Part-Time Shelter Chaplain role is onsite in Owensboro, KY, for 8–10 hours per week, with annual compensation of $13,000–$15,000. The chaplain supports children residing at the shelter in accordance with ORR requirements and KYUMH values. The role provides inclusive spiritual care that respects each youth’s beliefs and cultural background, supporting emotional well-being, spiritual growth, and adjustment through weekly groups and individual support upon request.

What you'll do

• Facilitate one spiritual enrichment group weekly in each of three residential units
• provide individual spiritual support and counseling upon request
• develop age-appropriate programming
• help youth access faith-based resources or accommodations
• document services
• maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• complete required ORR and KYUMH training.
