CNC Operator and Programmer

Job overview

The CNC Operator and Programmer role is onsite in Fruita, CO, at $25–$30 per hour. The position supports Walker Products’ manufacturing operations. The operator and programmer develops and improves CNC programs and repeatable machining processes for components. The work supports production quality and efficiency through setup, inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with engineering, quality, production, and maintenance teams.

What you'll do

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs
• set up machines and verify programs
• interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
• prove out programs and establish repeatable processes
• troubleshoot machining issues
• inspect first pieces and in-process work
• adjust programs, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• document setups
• support production transitions, new-product introduction, and continuous improvement
• train operators on established processes.
