What you'll do

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy
• determine medication substance, strength, dosage, and quantity
• review prescriptions, including controlled drugs
• perform pharmaceutical calculations for intravenous admixtures and complex parenteral nutrition
• prepare, label, inspect, verify, compound, and dispense medications
• screen inpatient orders for dosage, route, frequency, interactions, and allergies
• follow quality assurance, controlled-substance security, and hazardous-medication disposal procedures
• participate in training
• rotate among ambulatory and inpatient pharmacy sites as staffing requires.

Why this role

Requires an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree, BLS, an active unrestricted pharmacist license, and at least one year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience. Code Blue response may be assigned for a particular shift; shifts range from 8–12 hours and average 40 hours per week.
