What you'll do

• Repair and rebuild engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and vehicle assemblies
• supervise two mechanics daily and up to five during winter storms and emergencies
• maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems and two-way radios
• repair snow-removal equipment and install plows
• perform body work and fabricate parts
• install and repair tires
• schedule and maintain town vehicles and work records
• manage parts and tool inventory
• attend training on new equipment.
