The Electrical Engineer – Building Renovations role is full-time and onsite at Naval Support Facility Indian Head in Indian Head, MD. Compensation is $75,000–$100,000 per year. ERG is a research and consulting firm supporting federal, state, and commercial clients. The junior engineer develops electrical designs for maintenance, renovations, and upgrades to existing buildings and power distribution systems. The role contributes design packages, technical reviews, reports, and proposal input, supporting projects from concept through completed design while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Prepare electrical design packages, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, for renovation projects
• review others’ design packages for compliance with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria, electrical codes, regulations, and end-user requirements
• provide technical input to proposals
• support design from concept through completed package
• prepare technical memoranda and reports
• collaborate with stakeholders
• serve as project or design manager on some assigned projects.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA required. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience and awareness or fluency in NFPA 70 NEC are listed. Must be a U.S. citizen and hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level clearance.
