Direct Care Worker (Caregiver)

The Direct Care Worker (Caregiver) role is an onsite, full-time position providing care in consumers’ homes in Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation is $12–$14 per hour. The worker provides assistance under Care Crafter Home Care’s supervision and follows agency policies and care plans. The role supports consumers’ safety and well-being through personal care, household assistance, observation, and help with daily needs and medical appointments.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to the care plan
• assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, transfers, walking, and exercise
• monitor and report changes in condition
• provide first aid and support health and safety
• arrange medical trips, pick up prescriptions, accompany consumers to appointments, document liquid intake and toileting, assist with self-administration of medication, perform household cleaning and laundry, and provide respite care according to the care plan.
