Principal Electrical Engineer in Gibsonia, PA. This is an onsite position with a salary range of $118,800 to $132,000 per year. Constellation is the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable power solutions for critical infrastructure and advanced energy systems, with a focus on high voltage transmission, substation design, data center power, and renewable energy integration.

What you'll do

• Perform load analysis, equipment selection, and system integration for utility and industrial power systems.
• Lead the electrical design and layout of data center primary power distribution systems, including UPS, switchgear, and backup power solutions.
• Develop and implement on-site power generation and distribution strategies, including diesel generators, gas turbines, fuel cells and hybrid systems.
• Design, evaluate, and integrate solar PV arrays and battery energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and system performance modeling for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site as required.
• Design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria.
• Stay current on emerging and current technologies, practices and processes related to talent development programs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field|Professional Engineer (PE) License|8 years of experience in high voltage transmission, substation engineering, sited generation, and data center power systems|Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC)|Demonstrated experience with solar PV systems and battery storage technologies|Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving/conflict resolution, time management, and independent decision-making|Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate across teams|Ability to travel to project sites as needed
