Dietary Aide

Job overview

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Lake Zurich, IL, and pays $18–$19.25 per hour. The position supports dietary services at Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. The aide helps prepare and serve meals and snacks while maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas and following dietary procedures, menus, recipes, and special diet orders to support residents’ food service needs.

What you'll do

• Follow dietary procedures and policies
• review menu extensions
• assist with food preparation and meal service
• arrange diet cards and load trays
• deliver food carts and snacks
• wash and store utensils
• clean work areas and dispose of waste
• follow portion-control procedures, recipes, special diet orders, and sanitation requirements
• report incidents and hazards
• assist with receiving and storing supplies
• attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
