What you'll do

• Respond to derailments and assist with rerailing, load transfer, and track repair or construction
• operate heavy equipment
• transport equipment and materials
• inspect loads, permits, trucks, trailers, and machinery
• complete DOT pre- and post-trip inspections
• assist with crane assembly and operation
• perform rigging
• load and secure equipment
• use hydraulic, welding, cutting, electrical, and hand tools
• perform minor maintenance
• participate in safety meetings
• maintain equipment readiness and clean work areas.
