MEP Engineer

The MEP Engineer role is onsite in Miami Beach, FL, and compensation is not specified. The position supports CAP Government’s building code inspection work for residential and commercial construction. The engineer reviews mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and/or inspects buildings, prepares reports and correction notices, interprets code requirements, and manages related inspection projects. This work helps clients meet building code and quality-control requirements.

What you'll do

• Review mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing plans for building construction
• perform building code plan reviews and/or inspections on residential and commercial buildings
• prepare written and electronic reports and issue notices of correction
• explain and interpret building code and quality-control requirements
• resolve problems
• maintain client and public relationships
• manage related projects. Some travel may be required for inspections or project management.

Why this role

Florida Professional Engineering license and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a closely related engineering discipline are required. Experience with municipal agencies is a plus.
