Underground Utility Excavator Operator

Compensation is $0 per year. The Underground Utility Excavator Operator role is onsite in Moncks Corner, SC, on Morgan Corp. heavy civil construction projects. The operator works with utility crews to install water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage systems safely and according to project plans. The operator performs precise excavation to required grades, depths, and alignments while protecting existing utilities and surrounding work areas. The role supports efficient utility installation through equipment inspections, maintenance reporting, documentation, and coordination with the crew.

What you'll do

• Operate excavators for underground utility installation
• excavate to required grades, depths, and alignments
• coordinate with pipe layers, top men, foremen, and utility crews
• excavate carefully around existing utilities
• inspect and maintain assigned equipment
• complete equipment and production records
• follow safety policies and OSHA requirements
• maintain equipment and work areas
• participate in safety meetings and training
• assist with general construction as needed.

Why this role
