What you'll do

• Review inventory, production requirements, forecasts, and ERP information to determine purchasing needs
• create and manage purchase orders and requisitions
• communicate with vendors about pricing, availability, quantities, lead times, and delivery
• follow up and expedite materials
• maintain purchasing and inventory records
• update supplier and item information and safety stock
• request and evaluate quotes
• coordinate with internal teams
• assist with returned, rejected, or scrap materials
• prepare reports and documentation
• help resolve material planning and scheduling issues.
