Optometric Technician – Palm Eye Care

The Optometric Technician – Palm Eye Care position is onsite in Niceville, FL, with stated pay of $15–$18 per hour. The role supports the optometrist and patient eye-care experience at Palm Eye Care. The technician prepares patients and records for examinations, performs pre-testing and other tests, assists with contact lenses and prescribed medications, and supports patient flow and office operations under the optometrist’s direction.

What you'll do

• Gather patient vision and medical history and document it
• explain the examination process
• use clinical instruments to take measurements and administer tests
• assist with contact lens insertion and patient instruction
• order contact lenses and manage trial inventory
• administer topical ophthalmic and dilation medications
• scribe and translate as needed
• assist with therapy exercises under the optometrist’s direction
• support phones, insurance verification, check-in, chart scanning, and office cleanliness.
