Injury Prevention Specialist

The Injury Prevention Specialist role is onsite in Youngsville, NC, with compensation starting at $35.00 per hour. The position supports WorkCare’s workplace injury and illness prevention and management services in collaboration with physicians. The specialist provides first aid and episodic care, coordinates injury management, and promotes employee wellness and injury prevention. Through clinical support, ergonomic education, and coordination with the Consulting Medical Director, the role helps address workplace health needs and support safe employee performance.

What you'll do

• Provide first aid and medical care within OSHA First Aid scope
• coordinate care through the Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and physician escalation services
• provide episodic care and consultation in collaboration with the Consulting Medical Director
• develop and deliver ergonomic injury-prevention techniques and employee education
• support wellness initiatives, medical surveillance, return-to-work assessments, and clinic operations
• maintain clinic and OSHA records and report injury and utilization data.

Why this role

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field; at least three years of relevant experience and industrial-setting experience; CPR certification and valid driver’s license required. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer is preferred.
