Family Prevention Specialist

The Family Prevention Specialist role is onsite in Brockton, Massachusetts. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour. Father Bill’s & MainSpring works to end and prevent homelessness in Southern Massachusetts through housing and support services. The specialist helps families at risk of homelessness find stable housing and alternatives to entering the shelter system. The role coordinates housing searches, community referrals, landlord relationships, and court-related support, while tracking progress and outcomes.

What you'll do

• Respond to prevention referrals
• assess family housing needs and provide housing-search assistance
• assist tenants with court processes and mediation
• update tenants, landlords, property managers, and legal representatives as appropriate
• maintain landlord and community-partner relationships
• connect families with employment and community services
• accompany or transport families as appropriate
• support budgeting
• maintain client records and report outcomes.
