Grants & Compliance Manager

The Grants & Compliance Manager role is an onsite, full-time position in Detroit, MI, with an annual salary of $70,000–$75,000. The role is in the Finance department and reports to the Vice President of Finance at Alternatives for Girls. The manager oversees grant financial management, billing, reporting, and receivables reconciliation to support accurate grant accounting and timely close. The role also maintains audit-ready records, monitors compliance with funder requirements, and coordinates with program and finance partners to support the organization’s grant-funded work.

What you'll do

• Manage grant billings, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and financial reports
• maintain grant schedules comparing budgets, expenditures, billings, receipts, and balances
• review expenses for allowability and compliance
• coordinate with program staff, Development, and funders
• reconcile grant receivables with the Controller
• provide schedules and documentation for month-end close
• review payroll allocations to grants and provide backup payroll processing only when assigned
• support audits, controls, procedures, and Sage Intacct workflow improvements.

Why this role
