Material Handler — Night Shift

The Material Handler role is onsite in Pendleton, OR. Compensation is $18 per hour. The position supports production at Atkore’s Pendleton location, packaging finished pipe and helping ensure customers receive a quality product. The handler packages and moves finished pipe, assists with quality checks, and supports extrusion and production-area upkeep. The work helps maintain product quality, safe operations, and the flow of finished goods from production and storage areas.

What you'll do

• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities
• confirm product against the production schedule
• assist with quality control, including monitoring saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing
• weigh and transport finished product
• cut crate boards to length
• process regrind
• maintain and clean production and storage areas
• follow plant safety rules and use required PPE
• operate material-handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns.

Why this role

The listing describes 12-hour shifts, 6 p.m.–6 a.m. or 6 a.m.–6 p.m., on Sun–Tue with every other Wednesday or Thu–Sat with every other Wednesday. High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred; lifting 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally up to 70 pounds is required.
