Senior Buyer

Job overview

The Senior Buyer role is onsite in Elk River, MN, with compensation of $80,000–$90,000 per year. Sportech designs, manufactures, and assembles cab components and systems for powersports, golf and turf, industrial, and agricultural markets. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role procures materials and equipment, manages inventory and supplier performance, and supports production operations through continuous improvement and cross-functional coordination.

What you'll do

• Procure materials and equipment
• negotiate basic pricing and terms
• obtain quotes, place and expedite orders, and resolve discrepancies. Manage material flow and inventory, communicate specifications and design changes to suppliers, maintain system costs, assess supplier capabilities, monitor performance, and follow up on corrective actions. Coordinate non-conforming materials, support new material sourcing, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and contribute to process improvement. May provide leadership to assigned team members.
