Medical Director — Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

What you'll do

• Serve as attending and/or supervising physician for assigned residents
• rotate onsite at facilities weekly or bi-weekly
• manage acute and chronic conditions
• provide clinical supervision and collaboration to Nurse Practitioners
• review and oversee care between visits
• provide physician on-call coverage from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily
• serve as facility Medical Director
• participate in clinical governance, QAPI, infection control, care planning, and quality improvement.

Why this role

Requires an MD or DO, active unrestricted physician license, current DEA registration and prescriptive authority, and board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty. Physician on-call coverage is specified nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
