What you'll do
- Perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- mix and administer medications based on weight
- provide invasive and noninvasive oxygen treatments
- assist physicians with procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, and intubation
- operate and monitor hemodynamic devices, ventilators, and oxygen monitors
- teach and counsel patients and families
- assess critically ill pediatric patients and respond to abnormalities. May be required to work in the Pediatric Ward, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Mother Baby Unit, or as a Patient Safety Attendant.
