Crew Laborer, Weatherization

The Crew Laborer role is onsite in Middletown, NY, with work at residential job sites in Orange and Rockland Counties; compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports RECAP's Weatherization Program and its work to improve home energy efficiency, health, safety, and comfort. Working with the Crew Chief and Weatherization team, the crew member completes assigned construction, retrofit, and energy conservation tasks. The work helps qualifying households through safe, accurate installation, repairs, testing, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Install and assist with weatherization measures including plumbing, carpentry, insulation, heating, electrical work, blower door testing, and air sealing
• address identified health and safety issues
• complete repairs and retrofits
• set up job sites and materials
• assist with testing, inspections, measurements, and documentation
• maintain tools and work areas
• communicate respectfully with clients.
