Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. This is a PRN, onsite position in Marshfield, WI. Compensation is not specified. Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the United States. The purpose of this role is to perform ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner, identifying and recording appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images to aid in medical diagnosis.

What you'll do

• Perform ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
• Understand the operation of ultrasound machines and utilize new technologies.
• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations.
• Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients and staff.
• Maintain a high standard of medical ethics and self-motivation for learning.
• Display empathy, compassion, and integrity.
• Understand cross-sectional anatomy.
• Conduct self professionally.
• Assist with accreditation requirements.
• Understand age-related protocols.
• Coordinate work with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Supervise and train students and medical sonographers as needed.
• Report and order supplies for equipment maintenance and repair.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma

Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or minimum of one year equivalent work experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
