Integrated GED and Vocational Certification Support Instructor

The Integrated GED and Vocational Certification Support Instructor works onsite at the AYW operating site in Lockhart, TX. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour. The role supports YouthBuild and AmeriCorps participants through American YouthWorks’ Education and Training department. The instructor connects academic learning with workplace and vocational skills, helping participants progress toward GED and certification attainment, further education, training, and employment. The role monitors learning progress and coordinates support with program and career-pathway staff.

What you'll do

• Deliver academic, adult basic education, GED, digital-literacy, and workforce-readiness instruction
• develop lesson plans and applied learning activities
• assess learning needs and provide tutoring
• support certification preparation and career materials
• monitor engagement and progress
• maintain participant records and reporting
• and collaborate with vocational, participant-services, and career-pathway staff.
