Medical Assistant — Dermatology

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Schaumburg, IL. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. Schaumburg Dermatology is a community dermatology practice that has served the area for more than 20 years. The role supports providers and patients across medical dermatology and, as instructed, cosmetic services. It prepares patients and treatment rooms, assists with procedures and patient education, and maintains clinical supplies and documentation to support timely, high-quality care.

What you'll do

• Welcome patients and visitors
• prepare exam rooms and paperwork
• brief providers on patient history and concerns
• administer subcutaneous injections, phototherapy, and laser treatments as directed
• prepare and document lab and pathology specimens
• sterilize surgical equipment
• assist providers during visits and procedures
• educate patients on treatment and at-home care
• triage calls and coordinate follow-ups
• conduct prior authorizations
• manage medical inventory and specimen logs
• maintain equipment and supplies
• follow HIPAA and OSHA requirements.

Why this role
