The UPK Teaching Assistant role is a full-time onsite position based in Albany, NY, with compensation between $16.50 and $17.50 per hour. This role supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area team in their mission to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher in planning, developing, and instructing students aged 3-4. The Teaching Assistant contributes to the team's goals by creating a nurturing and stimulating academic environment that aligns with curriculum standards.

What you'll do

• Support the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher in planning and instruction.
• Assist in creating weekly lesson plans.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to prepare materials.
• Implement creative classroom activities.
• Deliver age-appropriate instruction.
• Support small group activities.
• Document student progress.
• Enforce health and safety regulations.
• Foster a positive learning environment.
