Manual Lathe Machinist

The Manual Lathe Machinist role is onsite in Cypress, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour. The posting is through Personnel Services for a machining position. The machinist sets up and operates manual lathes with Fanuc controls to produce parts to blueprint and tolerance requirements. The role also edits and proves out programs, monitors equipment, verifies part quality, and maintains production records and a safe work area.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate manual lathes with Fanuc controls according to blueprints, GD&T, and operation sheets
• work with sheet metal and tight tolerances
• prove out and make simple edits to NC programs and download or edit programs from CIMNET
• perform routine maintenance and monitor fluid levels
• report malfunctions
• maintain a clean and safe work area and machinery
• complete production paperwork
• verify quality and tolerances using precision tools
• read blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions
• observe machining operations for malfunctions or wear
• maintain personal tools.
