Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, with a base salary range of $22–$28 per hour and a target annual bonus of 5%; additional incentive compensation may apply. Habitat Health provides coordinated medical and social care through its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Medical Assistant supports participant-centered care at the PACE center through clinical and administrative assistance. The role helps maintain participant flow, perform routine procedures within scope, document care, communicate changes in participant status, and coordinate follow-up with providers and the Interdisciplinary Team.

What you'll do

• Complete intake and rooming
• obtain vital signs and screenings
• fulfill provider orders
• prepare participants for examinations and treatments
• perform directed routine procedures within scope, including laboratory testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, injections, and continuous glucose monitoring
• coordinate follow-up and appointments
• respond to participant questions and escalate requests
• maintain EMR documentation, referrals, records, authorizations, clinic logs, room readiness, equipment, and inventory.
