Application Developer

Job overview

The Application Developer role is primarily office-based at the Deerwood or Monticello, MN location; compensation is $85,000–$125,000 per year. Water Resources Group builds water and wastewater treatment infrastructure and other heavy civil and commercial/industrial projects across the Upper Midwest and Mountain West. The developer builds and maintains internal business applications used by employees, translating business needs into practical solutions. The role also supports production applications and improves deployment, security, documentation, and support practices so applications remain reliable and maintainable.

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance internal applications, features, APIs, reports, and interfaces
• meet with employees to understand needs
• scale existing applications
• integrate systems, databases, and authentication tools
• write and optimize SQL
• maintain and troubleshoot production applications
• participate in source control, testing, Docker builds, deployment, and rollback
• support Sage integrations
• maintain dependencies and infrastructure
• improve development and security standards
• document architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting
• support legacy deployment retirement.

Why this role
