What you'll do

• Interpret blueprints, cut sheets, and engineering specifications
• measure and lay out steel stock
• plan cut sequences to reduce scrap
• set up and operate metal-cutting saws, including CNC band saws, miter saws, and shears
• handle stock with cranes and forklifts
• inspect raw stock and completed cuts
• follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work area.
