The Engineer, Fire Protection/Programs is an onsite role located in Dwight, IL. This role serves as the station's technical authority for the Fire Protection Program. The engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the program in accordance with regulatory requirements, fleet procedures, and NFPA standards, providing technical leadership and collaborating across departments to ensure program health.

What you'll do

• Prepare regular Program Health Reports/KPIs for Fire Protection and FLEX.
• Maintain and update program documentation, including FPR, Safe Shutdown Analysis, and procedures.
• Perform engineering evaluations, calculations, and reviews on fire barriers, detection, suppression, and safe-shutdown features.
• Review and approve design changes affecting fire protection systems or licensing basis.
• Lead or support Fire Protection Inspections (NRC, NEIL, NOS), self-assessments, OPEX/IR reviews, and audits.
• Support fire protection issue evaluation and CAP investigations.
• Participate in peer calls, and industry committees (INPO, NEI, NFPA).
