The Medical Assistant – Pediatrics role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; holidays are not required. Compensation is not specified. Working under the Practice Manager, the assistant supports medical staff with patient examinations and treatment. The role helps maintain patient flow and clinical readiness by gathering histories and vital signs, preparing patients, performing clinical tasks, and handling specimens and equipment.

What you'll do

• Inform scheduled patients of delays
• anticipate assessment and monitoring needs
• greet, assess, and interview patients
• obtain medical and social histories and vital signs
• review medications, allergies, and chief complaints
• act as liaison between provider and patient
• prepare and assist patients for examinations and treatment
• maintain confidentiality
• perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, injections and immunizations, EKGs, point-of-care testing, nebulizer treatments, and medication administration.
