The Life Skills Instructor – Adults with Disabilities, Garden & Vocational Program role is onsite in Boca Raton, FL, Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is $18 per hour. JARC’s Ability Garden vocational training program supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence and job readiness. The role exists to teach practical life, social, and vocational skills through hands-on activities and supportive instruction. By documenting progress and assisting with participant goals, the instructor contributes to confidence, independence, and meaningful work skills.

What you'll do

• Teach basic gardening and horticultural skills while reinforcing daily living, social, and vocational skills
• lead activities that foster independence, confidence, teamwork, and social skills
• follow curriculum and horticultural guidelines
• supervise and train participants in a safe, respectful environment
• assist with classroom, vocational, and outdoor activities
• document progress and maintain records
• complete case notes and program data
• participate in meetings and training
• assist with Individual Program Plan processes as needed.
