Direct Support Professional — Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in a home-like setting in Henderson, NC. Pay is $15–$17 per hour. All Ways Caring HomeCare provides direct care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role supports clients’ daily living, health, safety, and community participation by assisting with personal care, implementing service and behavior support plans, documenting activities, and transporting individuals to appointments and activities.

What you'll do

• Assist with hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and related health tasks
• foster positive relationships with individuals and their support networks
• encourage self-help activities
• implement individual service and behavior support plans
• prevent or de-escalate behaviors
• maintain daily documentation
• transport individuals to community activities and medical appointments.
