Assistant Property Manager

Job overview

The Assistant Property Manager role is onsite in Baytown, TX, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. The assistant supports apartment property operations and works closely with the Property Manager. The role helps maintain resident services, property records, leasing and renewal processes, collections, and day-to-day operations. It also serves as the responsible property representative when the Property Manager is absent and may supervise staff in that circumstance.

What you'll do

• Learn administrative and financial property-management duties
• supervise staff and manage the property in the manager’s absence
• inspect common areas, units, and grounds
• collect rent and make deposits
• assist with invoices and purchase orders
• maintain resident files and lease records
• handle delinquency notices and follow-up
• support leasing, marketing, and renewals
• respond to resident concerns
• apply Fair Housing principles
• assist with resident events and training.
