Human Resources Director — Behavioral Health

The Human Resources Director role is onsite in Whiteriver, AZ, and is full-time and exempt. Compensation is not specified. White Mountain Apache Behavioral Health Services (ABHS) provides behavioral healthcare and seeks HR leadership that supports its mission and workforce needs. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer, the director leads HR strategy and operations, advises executive leadership, and oversees workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, compliance, HR systems, and staff development. The role helps ensure HR practices are effective, consistent, compliant, and responsive to a Tribal behavioral healthcare organization.

What you'll do

• Lead HR functions including workforce planning, recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, HRIS, and policy administration
• advise executive leadership
• develop HR strategies aligned with organizational priorities
• oversee employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
• administer HR policies and compliance
• oversee recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and benefits
• lead performance management and organizational development
• supervise HR staff
• oversee HR systems, records, metrics, and reporting.
