The Project Engineer, Solar PV and Battery Storage role is onsite in Austin, TX; the stated base salary range is $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits. The engineer provides technical expertise during pre- and post-construction stages, designing and supporting commercial and small utility-scale solar photovoltaic, battery energy storage, and electrical construction projects. The role works with Operations and Project Development to develop solutions for customer needs and prepare designs and scopes for permitting and installation.

What you'll do

• Design and engineer solar PV, battery energy storage, and electrical construction projects
• ensure designs meet applicable building, electrical, fire, and utility interconnection requirements
• audit sites for installation suitability and constraints
• prepare construction drawing sets and equipment specifications
• work with Project Development on system components
• establish design specifications and scopes of work for Engineers of Record
• support scopes for equipment, installation subcontractors, and engineering consultants.
