What you'll do

  • Use a Math curriculum to teach content including Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus
  • Support students as they solve problems and think critically
  • Use love of mathematics to foster confidence and meaningful engagement
  • Cultivate ability to construct and justify viable arguments
  • Use passion for mathematics to build a community of self-guided learners
  • Work with the Math department to determine academic and engagement goals
  • Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work and assessments
  • Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction
  • Build positive relationships with students
  • Partner with students’ families
  • Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching
  • Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings
  • Partner with grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.

What we're looking for

Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience
1-2 years experience preferred.
