The Electrical Design Intern — Summer 2027 is an onsite, full-time, 10-week summer role in La Grange Park, IL, starting June 7, 2027. Pay is $20 per hour. Dubak Electrical Group’s internship provides hands-on experience in electrical design within industrial electrical construction and mentorship from experienced professionals. The intern learns and supports the design, drafting, and coordination of power distribution and low-voltage systems, contributing to design-build projects from schematic design through installation. The role works with project management, prefabrication, and controls teams.

What you'll do

• Draft one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and power plans in Revit and AutoCAD
• perform NEC calculations for feeders, branch circuits, voltage drop, conduit fill, and service loads
• model conduit, cable tray, and equipment in Revit and help resolve BIM/VDC clash issues
• support structured cabling and low-voltage layouts
• prepare submittal packages and redline markups
• participate in drawing QA/QC reviews
• develop bills of material for prefabrication assemblies
• collaborate across departments and use office software.
