The Equipment Maintenance Technician I role is onsite in Avenel, NJ, with compensation of $26.00–$28.00 per hour. The position supports PODS Storage Centers by maintaining Podzilla equipment across an assigned territory. The role helps keep equipment operational and storage centers safe and clean through scheduled maintenance, minor repairs, and accurate work-order documentation. It may also include forklift maintenance, driver instruction, and light repairs to trucks, containers, or storage-center facilities.

What you'll do

• Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on Podzilla hydraulic lift systems, including small-engine troubleshooting, 12V electrical diagnostics, and occasional light welding or metal work.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the Work Order System, maintain repair tools and diagnostic equipment, and provide management updates.
• May order parts, train drivers on lift-system use, maintain forklifts, repair flatbed trucks, and repair containers or perform light carpentry.
• Travel between storage centers in the assigned territory.
