Electrical Systems Engineer — Molecular Diagnostics

The Electrical Systems Engineer role is onsite in Saint Paul, MN, in a research and development laboratory and engineering environment. Compensation is $95,000–$115,000 per year. Zepto Life Technology develops point-of-care molecular diagnostics intended to improve the accuracy, speed, and accessibility of disease diagnosis. The engineer owns the electronics platform for diagnostic instrumentation, advancing hardware from evaluation and design through verification and commercialization while supporting regulated product development and multidisciplinary engineering work.

What you'll do

• Own the GMR instrumentation electronics platform
• evaluate and improve hardware architecture
• design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
• lead schematic and PCB reviews and component selection
• develop specifications
• plan and execute verification and reliability testing
• investigate failures and document corrective actions
• support risk management, FDA submissions, and design-for-manufacturing activities.
