What you'll do

• Prepare and cook food using program menus
• adjust menus to use refrigerated and frozen foods and reduce waste
• monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• prepare and plate meals
• maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen
• store food properly for infection control
• store or discard leftovers, remove garbage, clean food stations, and wash dishes and cooking vessels
• stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• help maintain kitchen equipment and operate kitchen appliances.
