Rope Access Technician — Chalmette Area

Rope Access Technician is a full-time, onsite resident position at a client site in the Chalmette, LA area. Compensation is not specified. Apave America provides industrial rope access services for inspection, maintenance, and other work in difficult-to-access areas. Working under an authorized Level III rope access supervisor, the technician performs assigned industrial tasks safely, inspects access systems, identifies hazards, and maintains rescue readiness while supporting site work.

What you'll do

• Perform rope access operations under direct supervision
• use rope access methods and equipment for inspection, maintenance, and other industrial tasks
• follow company, customer, OSHA, site-specific, and IRISNDT safety procedures
• use required PPE and participate in job hazard analyses
• inspect rope access systems and components before use
• report hazards
• maintain rescue proficiency and assist with rescues as directed
• assist other crafts when not actively assigned to projects.
