Food Service Utility — Full Time

Job overview

The Food Service Utility role is an onsite, full-time position in Sandy Hook, CT, with a schedule of varying days from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; weekends, holidays, and summers are off. Compensation is $18.25 per hour. Chartwells K12 serves school communities with dining programs intended to help students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier. This role keeps kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly, supporting safe food service operations at Newtown Public Schools.

What you'll do

• Sweep and mop floors
• wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces
• remove trash and clean garbage cans
• transfer supplies and equipment
• assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup
• load, unload, and deliver supplies and products
• distribute utensils and portable equipment
• follow sanitation and safety requirements.
