What you'll do

• Inspect the motor’s required equipment, electrical wires, couplers, braking system, and gauges before operation
• transport loaded and empty supply cars, coal cars, or track duster between loading and dumping points
• maintain communications with the dispatcher
• monitor track, roof, and rib conditions
• handle and transport supplies, gravel cars, and rock dusters
• load and unload supplies when required for the Supplyman Motorman role
• operate other haulage equipment and locomotives as directed
• make equipment moves between shifts or on weekends as directed.
