The role exists to provide overall network engineering support, including planning, designing, and evaluating network components. The engineer will ensure high-tempo, mission-critical operations for NAVSUP staff by maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Plan, design, and evaluate network components at Newport News Shipbuilding and Yorktown Naval Weapons Station.
- Configure and optimize network servers, routers, and switches.
- Perform port activation, deactivation, and logical moves.
- Provide technical support and rapid remediation for network failures.
