Maintenance Technician II — Apartment Communities

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician II role is onsite in Jefferson City, MO, with a stated schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensation is not specified. Fairway Management maintains and operates affordable apartment communities and rental subdivisions as part of JES Holdings’ mission to provide quality housing. The technician completes resident work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general repairs to keep properties safe, functional, and ready for residents. The role also supports neighboring properties and responds to after-hours on-call needs.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• perform general repairs
• maintain curb appeal
• complete resident work orders and unit make-readies, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning
• conduct quarterly preventive maintenance checks
• assist neighboring properties
• pick up supplies as needed
• report health and safety concerns
• work approved overtime as needed.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building systems is required. HVAC EPA Type II certification is preferred. After-hours on-call availability is required.
