The Cook role is onsite in Scarborough, ME. Pay is $18 to $22 per hour. Maine Veterans’ Homes’ dining services team prepares meals for Veterans and residents. The cook prepares nutritious meals according to menus, recipes, food safety standards, and dietary requirements. The role supports timely meal service and works with dietary and nursing staff to serve residents respectfully.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to menus and recipes
• follow portioning, presentation, food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• accommodate special diets as directed
• maintain a clean kitchen
• assist with meal service
• monitor food quality and freshness
• and collaborate with dietary and nursing staff.
