Activity Aide

What you'll do

• Assist with planning, conducting, evaluating, and participating in individual and group activity programs
• present activities suited to residents’ physical capacity, cognitive ability, and interests
• explore resident hobbies and community interests
• prepare assigned recreational therapy groups
• deliver mail, flowers, and other items and read mail upon request
• prepare supplies and activity spaces
• encourage participation
• transport residents to activities
• conduct requested shopping
• accompany residents to community events
• assist with crafts
• set up equipment and escort residents
• help schedule movies, parties, games, and activities
• supervise activities as needed
• document participation and evaluations
• follow safety procedures during transport and activities.
