What you'll do

• Manage and prioritize technical and coding denial queues, monitor workload and throughput, and ensure cases meet payer deadlines.
• Serve as an escalation point, review complex appeals, track and report team performance, identify denial patterns, and conduct root cause analyses.
• Coordinate with Patient Access, Provider Enrollment, Utilization Management, Billing, HIM, CDI, Coding, and Compliance to address upstream causes.
• Maintain payer-specific guides and tracking tools, oversee medical-record retrieval, support denial-prevention education, and supervise, coach, onboard, and develop denial specialists and coordinators.
