The Planning Technician role is onsite in Roosevelt, UT, with compensation of $45,000–$65,000 per year. The position supports Roosevelt City’s Community Development / Planning & Zoning team and its work on responsible growth and community quality of life. The role helps residents, applicants, and city departments navigate planning, zoning, permitting, and land-use processes. It reviews permits, processes land-use applications, prepares public meeting materials, conducts site inspections, maintains records, and uses GIS to support development review and planning updates.

What you'll do

• Answer zoning questions and review building permits for zoning compliance
• process conditional use permits, rezones, subdivisions, site plans, lot line adjustments, variances, and appeals
• prepare Planning Commission and City Council reports and agenda materials
• conduct site inspections
• maintain records and prepare public notices
• create GIS maps and exhibits
• coordinate development review and assist with General Plan and development-code updates.
